Plastic waste is a Global problem

Mismanaged plastic waste, particularly when it leaks into our waterways and oceans, can have a detrimental effect on our environment, health and the economy. 

Recognising the importance of this issue for the world’s largest archipelagic country, the Indonesian government has committed to reducing marine plastic debris by up to 70% by 2025.

The Plastics Innovation Hub Indonesia is combating this issue by bringing together industry, government, community leaders with researchers, innovators and investors to rethink how we create, use, and manage plastics. 

The Hub will nurture and promote new ways of thinking through a structured innovation program designed to support the scale-up of deep tech solutions to create real world impact.
