Connect with our delegates at COP31 to explore opportunities in climate research and innovation

In 2026, CSIRO plans to send two senior leaders to support Australia's presence at COP31.

Dr Brett Molony from the Environment Research Unit and Dr John Ward from the Energy Research Unit will support government representatives on science focussed panels and stakeholder sessions.

CSIRO is also the lead organiser of an important event within the Australian Pavilion: The ocean-climate nexus: Building Pacific resilience through science and partnership.

Hosted by Dr Molony, the event will explore the connection between oceans, climate and community resilience across the Pacific.

Attendees will hear from leaders from Australia and Pacific nations as they share climate science, Pacific knowledge and marine partnerships. It will also include a live cross to the CSIRO research vessel, Investigator, at sea where researchers will provide insights into supporting climate adaptation and resilience.

Date/time:

Antalya (COP31), UTC+3: Tuesday 17 November, 2pm – 2.45pm.
