Cutting edge research opportunities for university and industry

Are you looking for a unique opportunity to collaborate with CSIRO professionals on cutting-edge research projects?

CSIRO Industry PhD Program is currently accepting expressions of interest from university researchers for projects to commence late 2026 or early 2027.

First round applications will open on 2 February and close on 2 April 2026.  Our second round will open on 4 May and close on 7 August 2026.

These projects are expected to start late 2026/early 2027.

Through the program, students undertake PhD research on a problem developed in collaboration with, and jointly supervised by, an industry partner, a university researcher and a CSIRO researcher.

The program offers students a fully funded government scholarship and an industry funded top-up, as well as funds for project operating costs and professional development training.
