About the placement
This internship is with Emergent Group and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program.
As an intern working at Emergent Group, you will be tasked with building a test wireless mesh networking system based on a new hardware platform we have secured from overseas. The project will involve working with off-the-shelf networking hardware (such as access points, WiFi radio modules, etc.). All the hard work has already been done: we have the support of our overseas collaborators, and the goal is to simply replicate what they’ve already got working overseas.
The task will involve setting up the hardware and configuring the system to mirror the setup used by our collaborators. Guides and resources are available, making the project straightforward as it primarily involves replicating an existing, proven system.
Work arrangements
- Start date: ASAP
- Working arrangement: Part-time for 200 hours
- Remuneration: $31.25 on a casual contract with Emergent Group
