About the placement

This internship is with LDG Pty Ltd and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team in this manufacturing company and work across all aspects of the business. You may be involved with 3D modelling, drafting, programming, quality control, working with clients and project managing steel fabrication. This opportunity will allow you to gather insight into where a manufacturing career in can take you and gain experience working in an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.

Work arrangements

  • Start date: end September, 2025
  • Working arrangement: Full Time for 200 hours (with ongoing opportunity for the right candidate) Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Remuneration: $25/hour + superannuation on a temporary contract with LDG Engineering
  • Location: 8 Kelso Cres, Moorebank NSW 2170

Desired capabilities

  • Studying construction, drafting, engineering with business/project management
  • Can pickup new software quickly though familiar with 3D/2D CAD
  • A willingness to learn
  • Team player and ‘can do’ attitude to problem solving
  • Good written and oral communication skills, attention to detail
  • Driver’s licence and NSW White Card (or in process of obtaining)
  • You may require a medical check to commence this internship

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate qualification.
