This internship is with Adiona and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program.

Adiona is seeking a technically inclined and analytical intern to join their team in exploring the use of AI and automation tools to streamline and optimise internal business processes.

As an intern, you will work closely with Adiona’s leadership and technical teams to analyse current workflows in sales and customer engagement, identify inefficiencies, and prototype AI-powered solutions. The focus will be on leveraging modern AI frameworks and automation platforms to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document existing sales and customer engagement workflows to identify automation opportunities.
  • Research and evaluate AI tools and automation frameworks (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Zapier, HubSpot, Salesforce) for their technical capabilities and integration potential.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions using scripting, APIs, or automation platforms to streamline tasks such as lead qualification, CRM updates, and data enrichment.
  • Conduct performance testing and usability assessments of selected tools.
  • Present findings and technical recommendations to stakeholders, including documentation of implementation steps and potential impact.
  • Support integration efforts and provide technical guidance to internal users where feasible.

Desired capabilities

  • Currently enrolled in a degree related to Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in intelligent automation and systems design.
  • Familiarity with APIs, scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript), and cloud-based automation tools.
  • Comfortable working with structured data and CRM systems.

Bonus: Experience with AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), workflow automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make), or CRM integrations.

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate qualification.
