About the placement
This NSW Skills for Net Zero internship is with Adiona. The initiative is proudly funded by the NSW Government and delivered by CSIRO.
Adiona is looking for a motivated Front-End Development Intern to help build its innovative fleet mapping and emissions reduction platform. This software plays a key role in helping logistics companies move toward net-zero targets by optimising operations and reducing carbon emissions.
As an intern, you’ll join Adiona’s development team to create intuitive, high-performance web interfaces that visualise real-time fleet data and emissions insights, which are tools that support smart decision-making and measurable decarbonisation progress.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain front-end components using Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with back-end engineers working in Node.js to ensure seamless integration between front-end features and the core platform
- Design and implement interactive maps, dashboards, and data visualisations to help users monitor and reduce emissions
- Translate user requirements into responsive, accessible UIs and wireframes
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and ongoing improvement of the front-end architecture
- Stay up to date with front-end best practices, including performance and accessibility optimisation
- Gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle in a dynamic, mission-driven startup environment
This is a chance to apply your front-end skills in a real-world setting while contributing to a platform with a clear sustainability mission. You'll work with modern tools in a live production environment and see firsthand how digital technology can support decarbonisation and accelerate progress toward net-zero goals. Along the way, you'll collaborate with a talented, cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product thinkers- gaining valuable experience, growing your skills, and contributing to something that’s making a real impact.
