Voyage summary
The CAPSTAN training voyage on RV Investigator was cancelled due to several participants becoming unwell with flu-like symptoms in the lead up to the voyage. This measure was taken as a precaution to safeguard the health and well-being of all participants and crew on the vessel in light of the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19.
This was to have been the third voyage to support the CAPSTAN (Collaborative Australian Postgraduate Sea-training Alliance Network) sea training program, following on from previous voyages in April 2019 and November 2017.

Voyage outcomes
The vessel completed the transit voyage from Fremantle to Hobart with only ship crew on board. Two ocean monitoring floats were deployed during the voyage as part of the SOCCOM program.
