A media article today raised questions in relation to Dr Larry Marshall’s prior involvement in the company Arasor. The CSIRO Board confirms that Dr Marshall made prior disclosure to CSIRO of the proceedings brought by Caason Investments Pty Ltd in 2012 against the directors of Arasor in 2006 and later the auditors. Dr Marshall was open and transparent on this matter and the CSIRO Board selection committee conducted extensive due diligence and was satisfied with the outcome. As the case is currently before the Federal Court nobody should be commenting on the subject of these proceedings.
