13 February 2018 Statement

After almost 15 years of service, Craig Roy has decided to leave the organisation.  Craig has made an invaluable contribution to the CSIRO, leading a large portfolio of responsibilities. Craig will remain at CSIRO in until mid-2018.

The DCE position will no longer exist and the Executive Team will be restructured to include two new Executives for Growth and People.  A new dedicated Chief Scientist will be appointed, to provide a science path to the highest levels of strategy direction setting and decision making.

To leverage CSIRO's unique digital plus science and industry 'domain' expertise, CSIRO's Data61 CEO – Adrian Turner – will be appointed as an ex-officio member to the Executive Team.

Recruitment for the new positions will begin shortly. There are no further changes.
