The matter was referred to the AFP which undertook an investigation resulting in the current legal action.
As a result of the Code of Conduct breach CSIRO acted to dismiss the staff member, and has recovered monies from the individual. The CSIRO Code of Conduct is in place to ensure appropriate standards of behaviour are upheld and the trust placed in CSIRO employees is respected and maintained.
As the matter is before the court it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.
