Our Sensing and Sorting Program aspires to deliver step-change improvements in the efficiency and sustainability of mining, through deployment of advanced real-time measurement technology.
Recent developments include sensors for bulk sorting, providing energy and water reductions for each kilogram of metal produced.
Our measurement systems are developed from the "ground up", starting with fundamental physics investigation, followed by application of advanced engineering to develop field-worthy systems for trialling with high technological readiness.
The program is equipped with excellent prototyping facilities and laboratories and has a strong culture of seeking commercial pathways for wide technology deployment.
