From validated market entry to meaningful scale-up

This Round supports eligible Australian RISE Accelerator alumni organisations (Round 1-3) that are executing, or poised to execute, revenue growth through contracted sales, and/or establishment of manufacturing/ assembly capability in India. It is not intended for early market exploration and testing, or initial technology pilots/validation.

In short, this round is about doing, not discovering. It supports Australian RISE Accelerator alumni organisations who can augment activities to date, turning validated opportunities into sustained commercial presence.

Who should consider applying

Decision tree to apply for RISE Accelerator Round 4This opportunity is best suited to Australian RISE Accelerator alumni organisations that can demonstrate:

  • Tangible commercial progress in India (e.g. customers, contracts, revenue, or committed channel partners).
  • A clear scale-up pathway focused on:
    • customer acquisition and revenue growth in India, and/or
    • establishing or deepening manufacturing or assembly operations capability.
  • The internal capability, capital commitment, and partner readiness required to execute at scale, rather than early-stage piloting or exploration.

Participants should already have a validated value proposition in the Indian market and be seeking to accelerate outcomes that are already in place or planned.

Applicants are expected to self-assess their readiness against the intent of this round before lodging an Expression of Interest. This round prioritises organisations that are ready to execute, commit and scale.

Focus areas for support

The alumni scale-up Round is deliberately execution-focused. Grant funding of up to $100,000 may be available to support activities such as:

  • Scaling direct or channel-led sales and revenue generation
  • Formalising and expanding distribution, OEM, or strategic partnerships
  • Establishing manufacturing or assembly capability in India, including supplier engagement, localisation, and quality systems
  • Strengthening in-market operating models, governance, and execution capacity
  • Accelerating outcomes that would otherwise take significantly longer without targeted support.

Expression of Interest

The EOI process allows eligible organisations to outline:

  • What you have achieved to date
  • What you are now ready to scale and associated areas of focus
  • How targeted support would help accelerate execution

Shortlisted organisations may be invited to interview and submit further information aligned to the scale-up focus of the Round.

You are encouraged to read the RISE Accelerator Round 4 Alumni Scale-up Program and Grant Guidelines prior to submitting an EOI.

The first question asks: “Do you have proven traction in India?”

  • If No, the path leads to “Early stage or exploratory” and concludes with “Not ready for Alumni Scale-Up Round.”
  • If Yes, the graphic asks whether the organisation’s focus is on sales expansion or manufacturing/assembly.

Under Sales Expansion, the criteria listed include:

  • Paying customers or contracts
  • Channel or OEM partners
  • A clear revenue scale plan

Under Manufacturing/Assembly, the criteria include:

  • A costed production model
  • Supplier and QA strategy
  • A localisation plan

Both pathways lead to “Potential fit for Alumni Scale-Up Round.”

The final section asks: “Are you ready to execute and scale?” with indicators such as:

  • Defined operating mode
  • Co investment commitment
  • Clear 12–18 month outcomes
