We rely on you! Since the late 1980’s the amazing residents of South Australia have been assisting the CSIRO with health studies.
Over 250 studies have been led in the Adelaide clinic, providing some fantastic outcomes for the community. CSIRO now has a new clinical research facility in Westmead, New South Wales.
Scientific findings from our research are often published in international journals and we always aim to provide tangible outcomes and programs for people to use in the community. We use our research to develop health, diet and wellbeing programs. The findings are also used to provide recommendations around food, nutrition, health and wellbeing, as well as product development to government agencies and private companies.
Perhaps one of the most well-known outcomes is the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet, which began as a nutrition weight loss trial. The success of the trial led to the Total Wellbeing Diet books being published and distributed around the world, selling over one million copies and assisting many people with weight loss and nutrition management.
Each study varies in its requirements and eligibility criteria. If you are interested in participating in a study, you can register online. Once you have submitted your registration, one of our trial managers will contact you with further details.
Our team of research scientists and staff carefully create and plan the studies. All of the studies must be ethically approved according to Australian Government standards before they begin. Studies are conducted by trained professional staff and your details are confidential.
