NAIC invites submissions from organsiations who wish to collaborate with NAIC to deliver project or initiatives that support the following key priorities.
- Adoption of Safe and Responsible AI by Industry
- Development of Australia’s AI Industry and Sovereign AI Capability
- Support SME success with AI

The form collects inputs from organisations seeking to collaborate with NAIC as per The Guidelines. Information collected in the form includes fields that are for internal purposes only to help us assess the submission. NAIC consists of CSIRO employees and is funded jointly by CSIRO, the Australian Government Department of Science, Resources, and Industry, and Google.
What will I be asked to do?
There are questions in the form to identify a contact person and categories that apply to your organisation. Your submission is completely voluntary, and you are free to withdraw by stopping at any time.
If you decide to withdraw from completing the form, any responses you have provided up to that point will be deleted.

Privacy Statement
How will my privacy be protected?
Your personal information is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). CSIRO will handle your information in accordance with this Act and the National Health & Medical Research Council (NH&MRC) National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007, updated 2018), or as otherwise required by law.
With your consent, CSIRO has contacted you about this project using existing personal information CSIRO already holds about you including your name, email address, organisation name and role. Otherwise, you have been contacted via your organisation’s publicly available email address.
Additional personal information will be collected from you, or another authorised representative of your organisation, via the submission form including your name, email address, organisation name and role, and responses to the form questions, for the purposes of your organisation seeking to collaborate with NAIC to deliver project or initiatives that support NAIC’s key priorities (refer The Guidelines).
The information in the form will be reviewed by a panel including CSIRO and external AI ecosystem representatives (‘Review Panel’). Accordingly, please note that members of the Review Panel considering your submission will include parties other than CSIRO. External Review Panel members will be drawn from NAIC’s partner organisations or advisory committees, which include, NAIC’s Foundations Partners, the Responsible AI Think Tank and the AI Industry Forum.
CSIRO will also collect your system information including your Internet Protocol or MAC address, device number, geolocation data and log/usage data, for the purposes outlined above.
CSIRO may disclose your information to third parties including Salesforce and Microsoft, for the purposes outlined above.
Salesforce will be used to compile an email distribution list. Salesforce uses servers hosted in Germany and France. This means that your personal information may be disclosed to Salesforce servers located outside of Australia. By completing the form, you agree to the potential transfer of your personal information to Salesforce servers located outside of Australia, and you acknowledge that this information may not be subject to the requirements of the Privacy Act.
