About the placement

This internship is with Anditi and is facilitated by the CSIRO's Generation STEM Links program.

As a Data Quality Controller, you'll be responsible for editing classified data and ensuring high quality products are produced for our consulting projects. To be successful in this role a Data Quality Controller must have great keyboard skills, an eye for detail and be a fast learner.

The role will be at our Newcastle office on King Street, and be casual hours based around project loads and your studies.

You'll be working to help refine our data analytics offering by quality checking datasets and helping us deliver cutting edge solutions to our clients.

Your job responsibilities will include:

  • Work alongside our project delivery team on spatial data projects.
  • Undertake manual editing of data to remove errors.
  • Undertake manual data control to classify data.
  • Give feedback to team leaders on work undertaken.

Work arrangements

  • Start date: May/June 2024
  • Working arrangement: Casual for 200 hours on a fixed term contract, with the possibility for further employment for the right candidate.
  • Remuneration: $29/hour plus super on a temporary contract with Anditi
  • Location: King Street, Newcastle

Desired capabilities

  • Ideally studying spatial or environmental science or computer science or engineering
  • Ability to balance time and quality output
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods Strong keyboard and PC skills with fast motor skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions Exposure to QGIS would be advantageous

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate or TAFE qualification.

Anditi is a Newcastle based spatial analytics and tech company specialising in the transformation, classification, analysis and visualisation of geospatial data, including aerial, mobile, terrestrial LiDAR, 360-degree aerial and satellite imagery. Anditi provides LiDAR and data analytic services for people in government, roads and infrastructure, urban planning, mining and energy industries.
