The Western Australian (WA) Food Industry Education Collaboration (WAFEC) program gives WA food and beverage businesses the opportunity to bring STEM expertise into their workplace through short-term internship projects. With financial support, local facilitation and access to motivated students, the program helps employers test new ideas, improve processes and identify future talent.
It's an accessible way to boost innovation across the sector.
How your business benefits
- Gain access to top-talent STEM students
- Test new products, processes and talent in your business
- Receive a $2500 payment upon completion of the placement
- Additional travel funding for regional businesses
Who can apply
Businesses operating in the production, manufacturing or technology sectors of the WA food and beverage industry can apply. Projects should benefit from STEM input and be located anywhere in WA (regional enterprises encouraged).
How to apply
- Review the program guidelines for eligibility
- Complete the employer/industry partner application form
- One of our facilitators will contact you to discuss your application.
