This initiative will support development of a sustainable graphite industry in Australia, which is essential to meeting the growing global demand for battery anode materials. This program supports R&D in areas like alternative feedstocks, efficient recycling methods, and purification techniques, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable graphite production process.
The opportunity supports:
- the development of efficient and effective downstream processing to active materials
- SMEs who have a role to play in developing a world-class, competitive and sustainable graphite industry to support domestic Australian manufacturing and exports to the USA and globally.
