The Food System Horizons initiative between CSIRO and The University of Queensland will bring together a range of stakeholders to build a Think Tank that drives evidence-based dialogues to identify pathways for the future of Australia's food systems.
Building on the momentum of the UN Food Summit national dialogues in 2021, the Food System Horizons initiative will build capacity in Australia to navigate, manage and direct transformational processes aligned to the nation's priorities and ambitions.
Our aim is to promote debate and inform policy and practice to ensure sustainable agriculture and nutritious, equitable food systems into the future.
Another role for Food System Horizons will be to train a cohort of food systems transformation capable professionals for roles in academia, industry, government, and the broader community with a focus on Australia as an active leader in the Asia-Pacific region.
